WELCOME Advisor Alyssa Tolisano !!

     We would like to welcome our newest civilian advisor- Former Windsor Senior Police Explorer Alyssa Tolisano. Advisor Tolisano is a college student and is currently an Intern at Windsor Police Department working with Lt. Haynes. Alyssa is actively applying to become a police officer.  We thank Alyssa for her continued dedication and service to the Windsor Police Explorers.

Windsor Police Explorers have advisors that have many responsibilities throughout the year. 

Together they work at meetings, events, and fundraising, to continue to make the Windsor Police Explorers responsible youth.

To be considered for an advisor position, a candidate must:

1. Be a minimum of 21 years of age and preferably an employee of the Windsor Police Department, a parent/guardian of a member, or a current/former member of the Windsor Police Explorers.

2. Be interviewed by the Liaison Officer, WPD Officer Bernard Petkis.

3. Pass a background investigation, to include a criminal history and Windsor Police Department in-house check, as well as, verification of any character references.

4. Complete a two month observation period.

 

Candidates who meet the criteria above, may be selected by the Liaison Officer. Once selected candidates are required to attend an Advisor Orientation.
